It sometimes seems to me that I spend an awful lot of time in my Laundry Room, one of the smallest rooms in the house, washing the same pair of socks over and over. Having the Laundry Room Organized and Decluttered makes one of my most dreaded chores just a little bit easier and I’m sure you will feel the same way too.
Take a look around some laundry rooms are smaller than others. How can you best utilize the space you have available to be able to declutter and organize this small room. How much floor space do you have? Do you want to use the wall space for shelves or cabinets? Make these decisions before you start and you will be able to declutter and organizein no time.
Utilizing the floor space can be an easy task. I’ve trained my boys to sort their laundry instead of throwing it on the floor. One one of my favorite things in the laundry room is a 3 Bin Laundry Sorter. There are many different designs of laundry sorters that can fit your available space. Having a sorter will alleviate your clothes laying on the floor and will make doing laundry easier because it will already be sorted.
Another great organizing idea for limited space is the slim laundry cart. Just slide it between the washer and dryer. Holds your detergent and anything else you need. The Laundry Cart is also out of site, making it look decluttered and organized.
Even with a smaller laundry you can have a decluttered and organized room by utilizing the walls. Cabinets and shelving can add a lot of space to store your laundry needs. Not only can you add space but by using decorative boxes will make your room look stylish, uncluttered and organized.
The main thing is to start, just do it. The longer you take to decide, the longer your laundry room will remain the way it is.
