Fighting Chronic Fatigue and Lack of Energy

Fight chronic fatigue, increase energy, decrease depression, improve your immune system.  The list goes on and on.

I had stumbled across a very ancient Japanese Healing technique several years ago.  I was very sick, and the doctors couldn’t even find a cure for my pains and discomfort.  With the help of a therapist friend and our combined knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu, I was able to regain complete health in a very short period of time.  Since then I decided to dedicate my time to this healing art.

With this article I am hoping to teach you a sequence of different healing holds to increase your energy flow and to break down stagnated energy.  Stagnated or blocked energy can be found anywhere in the body.  This blocked energy can create pain, a sluggish digestion, a weakened immune system, depression or unhealthy thinking patterns, just to mention a few.

Before you start, take a piece of paper and write down how you are feeling on a physical as well as an emotional level.  If you live a busy life, this will be perfect to do it bed before falling a sleep as it will also relax your body and improve your sleep.  Follow this self-help guide on a daily basis if you can.  The more you do this, the faster the body can repattern itself.

Step 1: Lay down.  Put your right hand on top of your head and your left hand on top of your forehead.  Don’t push down.  Just keep your hands and fingers relaxed.  Now breathe in and out and feel the pulse in your fingers.  This can take a few seconds or several minutes depending on the energetic blocks in your body.  Even if you feel the pulses right away, don’t move away from this hold.  For best results hold a good 20 min.  But if you are limited with time, I suggest 5 minutes.

Step 2: Your right hand stays on your head.  Your left hand will move onto the tip of your nose.  Stay in that position for at least 5 min.  Remember to keep your hands flat and relaxed.

Step 3: Your right hand stays on your head.  Your left hand will move down into the little groove at the bottom of your neck, in the middle where left and right collarbone meet.  Again wait for at least 5min.

Step 4: Your right hand stays on your head.  Your left hand wil move down the middle just slightly above the nipple line.  Stay there and wait for a connection with the right hand, at least 5 min.

Step 5: Your right hand stays on your head.  Your left hand will move down the middle to the end of the breast bone at the site of the solar plexus.  Again stay there for at least 5 min.

Step 6: Your right hand stays on your head.  Your left hand will move down the middle just above the navel.  Hold this for 5 min.

Step 7: Your right hand stays on your head.  Your left hand will move down the middle on top of your pubic bone. Again hold this for a good 5 min.

Step 8: Careful now.  Your left hand stays on your pubic bone.  Take your right hand and lay it under your tailbone.  Again hold for a good 5 min.  This is an important traffic area that connects energy from the upper body with the lower body.

These holds are very simple and easy.  A sign that your energy is starting to flow again can be felt as increasing body temperature to the local area and an increased pulse felt unilaterally in both hands or fingers.  This takes time and patience and cannot be rushed.

Don’t expect miracles right the first time.  Stay relaxed and breathe.  The first two times I did it on myself I did not think much was happening.  Two days later I climbed on my mountainbike to be challenged by my husband an ex professional hockeyplayer.  Normally he would always have to wait for me.  That day I felt very energized and eventhough I hadn’t done more weight and endurance training, I was able to keep up with him.

Just remember to keep doing these exercises to help your body repattern.  After a longer period of time, return to your journal and ask yourself how you are feeling today.  Is there still chronic fatigue or leg pain?  How is my energy?  What about my eating habis?  How are you feeling over all?  Keep your journal going and compare notes.  But remember to stay patient.  It took your body a while to get to the unhealthy state it might be in now, so it will also take time to heal itself completely.
