Listen to music that you enjoy. It does not have to be a certain type of music, it can be upbeat to make you dance, or something with a slower tempo to relax you. Some studies have shown that New Age and Classical music is what many people choose.
Make time for yourself. Take a relaxing bath, read a good book, or something else you enjoy.
Meditation is a great habit to start. If you have a difficult time being still, try some meditation CDs to get your brain into a meditiative place. You can search Google for “Meditation Music”.
What we are on the outside is just a reflection of who we are on the inside. When you are sad, remember that it is just in your mind and you can change that perception.
These tips will help you when you feel down, but don’t just apply them when you feel sad. Make them a habit by practicing them everyday. You will be pleasantly surprised that the rainy days seem to vanish when you complete these simple exercises.
