People love to throw around accusations and rumor that ‘so-and-so’ must be the anti-christ, especially in political circles. However, if you read your bible and dig for biblical prophecy regarding how to recognize the anti-christ, you’ll find that those you may be fearing really are not the anti-christ after all. This is the reason for my posting this article and not to strike unnecessary fear in Christian believers or to put everyone on some odd watch.
Personally, I think we need to pay extra attention to the false prophets of our day. They can be so damaging and misleading. Maybe I’ll save that for another article.
For now, let’s have some fun with this. Each biblical quote regarding the anti-christ could be like a little riddle. How do you read them to mean? Like changing the calendar. It may not necessarily mean changing the months or something but maybe trying to change dates of events or altering the destined future or… hmmm… it’s all rather wide open, isn’t it?
The Bible lists many ways in which to recognize the anti-christ when he comes. This article will highlight some of those.
He will be different than other kings. [Daniel 7:24]
He will speak boastfully. [Daniel 7:8; Rev 13:5]
He will change laws. [Dan 7:25]
He will attempt to change the calendar. [Daniel 7:25]
He will confirm a covenant with the Jews. [Daniel 9:27]
He will show no respect for the religion of his ancestors. [Daniel 11:37]
His whole focus will be on the military and conquering lands. [Daniel 11:39-44]
He will be worshiped by many. [Rev. 13:8]
He will appear to have survived an otherwise fatal injury. [Rev. 13:3; 17:8]
His name will, in some way, relate to the number 666. [Rev 13:17-18]
Do you know of more biblical references to this? If so, I’d love to hear them. Please leave a comment.
