The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is suddenly gone, never to return back. The wonder musical boy, who rose to fame to be a global pop superstar, then haunted by lawsuits, failed plastic surgery, was pronounced dead on Thursday afternoon at ULCA Medical Centre, in Los Angeles, after arriving in a coma. He was 50 years old. Everyone saw him as a Peter Pan no.1.  He was born in Gary, Indiana. He was the second youngest of six brothers, he also had three sisters. At the age of five, he began his musical career, with the help of his father Joe Jackson, who formed a group around his sons called Jackson 5ive. He was a lead vocalist. In the year 1969, his debut ‘I want you back’ became fastest selling record in the history. In the year 1972, he was No.1 in the US pop chart titled ‘Ben’. In the year 1979, his record ‘off the wall’ has 4 no.1 including ‘Don’t stop till you get enough’, went platinum, selling millions of copies. In the year 1982, all over the world 100 million copies were sold of his album ‘Thriller’. He was the biggest star in the world, selling over 750 million albums.

He was a solo performer, a global product; he became more famous for his sequined glove, his moon walk dance and his whitened face. His career was at peak with the release of ‘Thriller” in the year 1982, the largest selling album of all times. His darkest moments came in the year 2003, when he was charged with child molesting, but he was acquitted of all charges. In the year, 1994, he confirmed his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley, but in November 1996, he married his former nurse, Debbie Rowe, and later in January, Presley filed for divorce. He has two kids from Debbie, son Prince Michael and Daughter Paris. In the year 1999, Rowe and Jackson divorce. He also has one more son Prince Michael II, born in the year 2002; the mother of the child is still unknown. His last tour was a series of concert in London, referred to as ‘final curtain call’.

He struggled against white American prejudice. He was the loneliest man in the world and all the acclaim and money he earned was of no help to him, when he tried to fight back repeated attacks on him by his tormentors. From trying to look like a white man, marrying and fathering children , changing his religion, running away eventually to settle in foreign land, his restlessness and his search for an identity that went beyond his colour, race, background, religion, gender crisis, ultimately turned on him. He married women to take care of him and protect him and they did the opposite. He hired the best professional to run his business, and they ruined him.

He lived like a King, but left behind a mountain of debt. According to music industry source, the copyrights to his own songs and a stake in the Beatles song catalogue are worth than $1 billion. His career and image were tarnished by his mounting financial and legal troubles in recent years. He was well known for huge shopping sprees for toys and antiques.

He will be always remembered as one of the greatest talents in music ever, he got much grief, than he deserved.

Good Bye to you, you have gone from this world, not from our heart.
