Actress Cameron Diaz became the newest celebrity to get a walk of fame star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is recorded as the 2,386th stars to be honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for her contribution to the entertainment industry.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a sidewalk along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, California. It serves as an entertainment hall of fame where more than 2,000 five-pointed stars featuring entertainment personalities are embedded. The first eight stars where dedicated in1958.
Some of the great entertainment personalities with embedded stars in the Walk of Fame include Diana Ross, Ronald Reagan, and Muhammad Ali among others.
“It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life and it is what powers the light that burns inside of me, bright enough for me to be honored today with this star on the Walk of Fame,” Diaz said.

She was also joined by friends and fellow actors Tom Cruise, her co-star in “Vanilla Sky,” his wife Katie Holmes, and Lucy Liu, who starred with Diaz in “Charlie’s Angels.”
Diaz, who started a career as a fashion model at age 16, was born on August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California. She became popular in the hit movie, ‘The Mask’ with Jim Carrey. She was also well known for her role in the Charlie’s Angels films.
