This morning the same message kept coming at me from different directions. I received an email this morning, the book I was reading and during my quiet time I was directed towards the same theme. The theme was light.
Light travels in straight lines. Light travels very fast. Light does not usually go around things causing shadows. When light is refracted or bent a rainbow of color appears. Light can be reflected by an object after first being absorbed by the object and then re-emitted. Light exposes and illuminates darkness.
Jesus said of believers, ‘You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.’ Believers are reflected light when God’s light is absorbed in us at salvation. How we reflect God’s light can be either dimly or brightly, depending upon our walk of faith.
Ephesians 5:13 tells us, ‘But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, and whatever makes manifest is light.’ I stopped here during my quiet time and began to meditate upon light exposing darkness and ended up in Philippians.
‘Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (Jesus) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.’
Each of us, whether believer, atheist, non-believer or not even thought about it person, will one day be manifest by the light. Many will choose incorrectly because they do not understand light. Hitler, an example of darkness, was exposed by light when he stood before the judgement seat of Christ. His darkness was exposed and he bowed his knee and confessed that Jesus is Lord. Hilter was too late. His confession was one manifested to truth and not to salvation. He was cast into outer darkness because he did not believe in Jesus as Lord while on earth.
It just hit me anew this morning how precious our time on earth is. It is just a vapor in comparison to eternity. We have been created in God’s image. One aspects of His image is immortality. Whether we live eternity in fellowship with Him or eternity cast into outer darkness, we all will live eternal. The choice we make while on earth will depend upon how we will live in eternity. Whatever our choice, we all will stand before the judgement seat and light will expose our every deed.
Should God Himself be calling you to His throne of grace, then stop and accept His gift of Salvation. Admit to Him and yourself that you fall short and need a Savior. Let His grace wash away your sins through the blood of His Son, Jesus. Let today be the first day of the rest of your life in fellowship with God. If you have need of more information please email me. I would love to share more on how you can have a relationship with the Creator God.
Believers need to stop and remember what Jesus did on their behalf on the cross of Calvary. Let His light shine brightly through you. Take the time getting closer to your Savior so that you will hear Him say, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into my presence.’
You are loved!
