Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

I just downloaded the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on Virtual Console for my Wii recently because I was curious if all the past praise it received is deserved. The storyline is as follows. There’s an evil wizard named Agahnim who has used his evil power to take over Hyrule which is in the Light World. Ganon, the boss of thieves, is working to connect his Dark World to the Light World so that evil can take over both worlds. In the Light World, Link must collect three pendants in order to face Agahnim but when he finally fights the wizard, Agahnim flees and banishes Link to the Dark World. The wise man Sahasrahla speaks to Link immediately and tells him that he must save the seven maidens imprisoned within different dungeons in the Dark World to face Ganon. I managed to get all three pendants and save one maiden so far. My favorite weapons are the bow and arrow, the red boomerang, and the magic hammer. The dungeons for the Dark World are much harder to navigate and finish than the dungeons in the Light World. It’s good to have full health and one or two faeries in bottles when traversing the Dark World. I have not been disappointed playing A Link to the Past and I would highly recommend any Wii owners who have not played this Super Nintendo classic to download it from the Wii Shop Channel. It only costs 800 points which is the equivalent of eight US dollars.
